Two blogs I'll forget to update

I have decided to start another blog because it will be a bit different. It's going to mostly be about food - a hobby of mine. But there will likely be some other stuff thrown in. As anyone who knows me is well aware, I have an obsession, er, hobby of trying new things. So this new blog will be about things I find, or make up, and try. Why Sunflower?

I love sunflowers. I always thought they were pretty, and they remind me of autumn, my favorite season. But a few years ago they became my favorite flower, and one I want to identify with. I was traveling through western Nebraska one early morning and saw a whole field of sunflowers with their cheery little faces turned to the east, welcoming the sun. A few days later, driving past the same field, those little faces were turned more to the west, watching the sun march across the sky. And I realized that just as those little beauties always face the sun, so should I always have my face turned towards the Son, soaking Him up and allowing Him to make me beautiful and to bring blessing to others.
